About Us

Religious Freedom Indiana (RFI) is a nonprofit organization incorporated in Indiana in April 2025 to support Hoosiers who are committed to protecting true religious freedom for all. We are a 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax-deductible. RFI is governed by a board of directors and is not a membership-based organization under Indiana law. We are non-partisan and non-sectarian: we advocate for religious freedom without promoting any political party, religious group, or ideology. We are also committed to non-violence in all of our actions and advocacy.

Our organization began its work as the Indiana local group of the national coalition Christians Against Christian Nationalism, addressing the urgent need for a unified voice against distortions of faith in the public sphere. Since our founding, we have continued to expand our network by collaborating with other organizations—both within Indiana and nationally—that are aligned with our mission of defending religious freedom for all. While some of our partners may hold partisan affiliations, our own advocacy remains non-partisan and rooted in shared values.

This collaborative approach is rooted in our belief that building the broadest possible coalition makes us stronger, wiser, and more effective in achieving our mission.

We invite you to explore our resources and join us in protecting religious freedom for all Hoosiers.
